Tucked snugly into one of the most beautiful and enchanting neighborhoods in St. Paul, Moscow on the Hill offers the most authentic Russian dining experience in the Twin Cities. We specialize in comfort foods and classics, with a number of recognizable dishes such as Beef Stroganoff, Borsht and Blini with Caviar. You’ll also find cherished favorites like Pelmeni (meat-stuffed dumplings) and Vareniki (similar to Polish pirogies). The menu offers a variety of delicious vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Family owned and operated since opening in 1994, we pride ourselves on offering a friendly and unique environment for any occasion – whether weekend brunch, happy hour, dinner, or a nightcap at the bar. During the summer months, patrons can enjoy our secluded backyard patio, and throughout the year we love to host in our lounge seating areas and banquet rooms (perfect for parties).

Make sure to try out one of our signature house-infused vodkas, especially Referent Horseradish Vodka, distilled by the 45th Parallel Co. in nearby WI. You’ll never want another Bloody Mary without it.

We’re located just down the road from the state capitol, in the shadow of the St. Paul Cathedral, at the corner of Western and Selby Avenues. Free parking is available on the street, and at busier times we encourage you to park next door at the YWCA for five dollars (all proceeds go to their great cause).
